The history of St Lukes College Of Health Sciences

St Lukes College Of Health Sciences proudly opened its doors in January 1991, marking the beginning of our legacy in healthcare education with our inaugural Pre-service class training Kenya Registered Community Health Nurses (KRCHN). Building on this strong foundation, we expanded our mission in September 1998 by admitting our first In-service class, enabling Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurses (KECHN) to upgrade to KRCHN qualifications. Our commitment to accessible education led to another milestone in March 2005 when we introduced Distance Learning (Part-time) programs, making quality healthcare training available to working professionals across the nation.
Today, St. Luke's continues to evolve as a leader in nursing education. We are excited to announce our upcoming Higher Diploma programs in Critical Care, Theatre Nursing, and Nephrology - new additions that reflect our dedication to meeting Kenya's growing healthcare needs. For over three decades, we have remained at the forefront of nursing education, consistently adapting our curriculum to produce highly skilled healthcare professionals who make a difference in communities nationwide. Our history is a testament to our enduring commitment to excellence in healthcare training and our vision for a healthier Kenya.
